JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Engineer is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation, lead qualification through close in an assigned territory or set of accounts, and is responsible for maximizing campaign efforts, account penetration, sales growth and profitability. The position sells ANSYS software products and services directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact, phone and email. Sales Engineers will be located in Ozen Engineering, Inc. offices in Sunnyvale, CA. Ozen Engineering is an ANSYS channel partner and distributor in N. California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform research on target territory and/or accounts, identify contacts, determine potential and create and qualify leads
Perform sales activities of products and services through telephone, email, and face-to-face contact via discovery calls and cold calling
Establish, qualify, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
Drive centralized competitive campaigns to build pipeline, close business and exceed sales goals
Ensure that sales pipeline remains full with qualified prospects, document information and provide accurate pipeline and forecast for new sales and renewal business
Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
Learn and remain knowledgeable of the ANSYS products and solutions, take certification tests
Coordinate lead generation and sales efforts with assigned channel partner’s field sales, marketing, sales management, and pre and post-sale technical team
Other job related duties may be assigned by management from time to time
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
Strong work ethic, great communication skills, good listener, persuasive, self-motivated, collaborative, confident, intelligent and competitive
Highly proficient computer skills including office productivity tools, email efficiency, CRM and social media
OTHER INFORMATION
Minimum of 1 year of experience in field or inside sales is preferred
Demonstrated awareness and understanding of simulation software industry
Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
Must demonstrate leadership qualities and maintain the highest ethical standards
